We are eyewitnesses and can attest to the fact that lemurs can actually dance. While at the Berenty Reserve in southern Madagascar, we were able to see the ring tail lemurs, who mew like kittens, the red-fronted brown lemur, who grunts like a pig, the white footed spotted lemur who only comes out at night, the mouse lemur, who is very fleet of foot, and the sifaka lemur, who stands on two feet and dances with its hands up in the air. All we need is a little Greek music and an “oompa” and this guy would be set. Jim has a video for all of you who doubt, but here is the still picture of our dancing lemur.
